Setup in Gujrat in 1936, Wahid Industries was envisioned as an innovative manufacturing bay. It started its operations as the manufacturer of light engineering and utility products. 

In 1945, the Company for the first time in region, embarked on the manufacturing of Electric Fans. 

The setting up of this project at the time when there was no facilities, assistance of guidance in this part of the sub-continent is a pioneering achievement of Mr. Abdul Wahid., the founder and now the president of the Company for life. He simple took it as a challenge, undeterred by the initial difficulties. His determined efforts were finally crowned with success, the project not only took off under dynamic policies but also registered a phase of rapid growth and expansion, capturing a major share in the country’s markets. Thanks to the founder President's dictum, “No compromise on Quality”, PAK FAN today is not only synonymous with ‘top quality’ fans but also an identification symbol for Wahid Industries. 

Towards making Wahid Industries Limited a self-reliant concern, a modern automatic Japanese Plant was installed in 1981 to manufacture Enameled Copper wires of top international quality. Marketed under the brand name PAK SUPER, this copper wire ahs won major segments in Karachi, Lahore, Gujrat and Gujranwala. 

The forward looking management of the Company is set to achieve an overall development through more economical production, more advanced technological processes and more harmonious labor management relations.

Towards this end the Company is adopting those methods of production and quality control which conform to accepted world standards. The company now has its own facilities for accurate testing on the most modern and sensitive testing equipment. Every product is subject to the most rigid tests and leaves the factory only when it is finally “passed” by the quality experts.

True to the Company’s progressive business philosophy, Mian Ehsanullah, the Company Director and son of Founder President Mr. Abdul Wahid, is always son the look-out for the world’s latest technologies to adopt and assimilate in the production of PAK FAN. His father’s motto, “No compromise on quality” is a creed for Mian Ehsanullah which he adheres to most strictly.

To live up to its progressive image the Company keeps itself abreast of the latest technological developments around the world. And this enables the Company to continually introduce ever new concepts in electric fans, the ‘remote controlled fans’. The Louvre fans’ are quite recent examples.

Towards its role as a responsible corporate citizen Wahid Industries keeps on encouraging and contributing to social uplift programs. At Gujrat it runs a modern hospital -  equipped with latest facilities and top notch medical personnel.

In the year 1999-2000 Pak fan achieved highest international quality award ISO-9002 certified company. Pak Fan also won the FPCCI Trophy 1999-2000 and now Pak Fan is the largest exporter and manufacturers of electric fans in Pakistan.

As a result of its innovative excellence and ever evolving technological process, PAK FAN remains the utmost choice – both at home and abroad, including Middle East.
